Kill Adwords and Overture Buys in Jan.

For those of you that are in the gift world your ROI is probably pretty good right now for your keyword PPC buys. Conversions and ROI is up and customer acquisition costs are as low as 7% for some of our clients. That means for every $70.00 they spend in Adword buys they are getting $1000.00 in sales. Not bad if you are one of them!

Watch carefully in the next 3 weeks - that could all change. What is happening is that the gift market is pushing up the costs of keywords but they are still performing. In January people will not be buying as much and the performance will fall off. I suggest you cut your bids way back for the first 3 weeks of Jan.

This strategy will help reduce the inflation of your keyword prices for 2006 _AND_ keep your ROI from December safe by not blowing it for Jan.
